When we process data for our clients

When we run a support desk, host a website, manage a Microsoft 365 or Azure environment, or build and operate an app for a client, we may handle personal data that belongs to that client, such as their staff or customers. In those cases our client is the controller and we act as their processor, following their instructions under a written agreement. If you are a user of one of our clients' systems, please contact that organisation about your data.

Each of our mobile apps has its own privacy notice, available in the app and on its store listing.

Who we share it with

We only share personal data where we need to, with:

  • our hosting provider (20i), which hosts this website and our email;
  • Microsoft, which provides our email and business systems;
  • our accountants, insurers and professional advisers;
  • HMRC, regulators or the police where the law requires it.

Transfers outside the UK

Some of our providers may process data outside the UK. When that happens, we make sure it's protected by UK adequacy regulations or the ICO's International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum.

How long we keep it

  • Enquiries that don't lead to work: up to 12 months after our last contact.
  • Client and financial records: 6 years after our contract ends, to meet tax and legal requirements.
  • Website server logs: for a limited period set by our hosting provider, then deleted automatically.

Keeping it secure

We use encryption, multi-factor authentication and access controls to protect personal data, and only give access to people who need it to do their job.

Your rights

You have the right to ask us for a copy of your personal data, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable format. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Email support@kazziapps.com to make a request. We'll respond within one month and won't charge a fee in most cases.

Complaints

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
